2019年大联盟选秀，金莺在第二轮42顺位选进韩德森。[1]他从新人联盟起步，[2]缴出2成59的打击率。[3]

2020年，小联盟赛事因COVID-19疫情肆虐全球而全面暂停。[4][5]2021年，他升上低阶1A，并在季中升上高阶1A和2A。[6][7][8]
