[編輯]白屈菜酸最初在白屈菜的提取物中得到發現。[4][5][6]它自然存在於天門冬目植物中。[7]白屈菜酸鉀與一些植物的感夜性有關。更確切地說,它可以調節含羞草決明在黃昏時閉合葉子的狀況。[8][9]
