据华尔街日报的计算，雷在2017年的净资产估计有2300万至4200万美元[3]。
简介
[编辑]2003年至2005年，小布希总统主政期间，瑞伊在美国司法部刑事局曾担任过助理总检察长。他是律师事务所金恩与斯伯丁的诉讼合伙人。[5]
2017年6月7日，总统川普透过一则Twitter讯息宣布，将提名雷为联邦调查局长。[6]
2017年8月1日，参议院以92-5表决通过由雷出任联邦调查局长。[7]
2018年2月13日，雷在参议员情报听证会上说道“我们试图去做的一件事是将中国威胁视为不仅是对整个政府的威胁，而是整个社会的威胁。我认为这需要我们整个社会来回应。”[8]
2020年12月2日，当选总统乔·拜登的过渡小组成员宣布，拜登上任后将由雷继续担任联邦调查局局长。[9]
