English: The junction of national highways G106 and G316 near the eastern tip of Tongshan County (Hubei), near the Jiangxi border. The junction is named Jiajiayuan (贾家源), i.e. "Jia family's spring", after the eponymous nearby village. (It is common for village names in this area to end in yuan 源). The photo is taken looking east, i.e. coming from Tongyang (Tongshan County's county seat). The roads from here will go to the left (north) toward Yangxin/Huangshi (and eventually, Ezhou and Wuhan) (that's G106/316 combined), and right (south) toward Nanchang (that's G316).
Blue sign on top: "贾家源" ("Jiajiayuan", the location name). Blue sign below: “贷款修路 / 收费还贷” is a slogan (See e.g. “贷款修路,收费还贷”政策思考, "Thoughts on the policy 'Lending for the road repair, and repaying the loan'"). |
